Furniture assembly and dismantling
Beds, wardrobes, tables, flat-pack that has been in the hallway for three weeks. We take furniture apart properly and put it back together properly — as part of a move, or as a job on its own.
Part of a move, or on its own
Most of this work happens on moving day. We dismantle and reassemble most standard furniture — beds, wardrobes, tables. Tell us in advance so the right time and the right people are booked for it.
But you do not have to be moving. If you have bought a wardrobe and it is still in its boxes, or a bed needs taking apart before the decorators come, we will come out and do just that.
What we take apart and rebuild
Bed frames, including ottoman and storage beds. Wardrobes, sliding and hinged. Dining tables. Desks. Shelving. Cots and bunk beds. Garden furniture.
If something will not go through a door we will take it apart, find another route, or bring lifting equipment where access allows. It is rarely the first time we have seen it. If a piece genuinely will not fit the new place, we can put it into storage while you decide what to do with it.
The honest warning
Flat-pack that has been standing for ten years does not always survive coming apart — the board around the fixings gives up. We will tell you before we start if we think that is likely, so you can decide whether to move it whole, or let it go.
We take away and dispose of unwanted furniture, to a recycling centre or to a charity where it can be reused.

Questions people ask
How do I get a price?
For anything large or awkward we will do a survey, in person or over video. For everything else, photos or a short video of the rooms are enough. Photos tell us the volume, the access and anything unusual. That is what makes a quote accurate instead of a number we have to revise on the day.
Do you charge by the hour?
Almost every job we quote is a fixed price. Hourly only makes sense on the rare job where nobody can say what is coming — a clearance, or a load still being sorted. We will tell you if yours is one of them.
Are you insured?
£25,000 goods in transit and £5 million public liability, and the goods cover can be increased on request. Ask and we will email you the certificate.
Who sorts the parking?
Parking is yours to arrange, at both ends. Legal, usable space next to the door is the single biggest cause of a move running late, so we raise it when we quote rather than on the morning.
How much notice do you need?
One to two weeks for a small move, three to four weeks for a whole house. Ring if it is sooner — we keep room for short notice.
